The operations lead behind
fast-paced businesses.
You’re moving bigger than anybody you know, expanding your team rapidly and setting milestones that most would say you’re crazy for trying to reach.
But you and I both know you thrive in the crazy.
Now, you’re thinking about opening another location, creating a new department, or selling the business and you want the operational maturity needed to make that happen faster.
That’s where I come in.
I see my husband's eyes fixated on me at my son's baseball game. I had to send that last email on a Saturday.
All the other parents were cheering and shouting and here I was proofreading to make sure the grammar was right on this email I needed to send before Monday.
I wanted to be present, but I am the kind of person where my brain never stops. And it started when I was a kid. I have never been that person who just sits down and settles with good enough. Because you are here, I know you are not either.
For work, I had built one mental health business from zero to full operations. Then opened a second location. But sitting there at that baseball game, I realized I could not continue over functioning in the important areas of my life without something giving. That baseball game was my rock bottom. I got super intentional about where I was over functioning.
It started with franchise-like systems and infrastructure. I wasn’t opening a franchise business, but I needed systems so repeatable and replicable that they didn’t live in my head anymore. Where anyone could understand what my role was, what everyone else’s role was and never be left wondering, “What does this person actually do?” or How do I do this again?”
I wanted to choose where to focus my energy. I built processes that would let me scale without losing what made the locations unique. I developed teams that could handle the day-to-day management so I could focus on the work that actually needed my focus and I actually enjoyed.
I was able to expand to that third location, leading 100 people while maintaining our reputation in the county. But more importantly, over functioning became optional again. My days felt smoother, more focused. I could be fully present at my son's baseball games and still be laser-focused on work when I chose to.
I didn't want to step away or take time off. It's like treating your business like a faucet so you can choose when you want to over function in it, do the most, be the best leader you can be. And when you want to take a backseat, know you have systems, structures and a team that's got you if you want to take 3 days.
For me, it was a 6-month maternity leave. And while I was on leave, the over function in me doesn't just turn off (if you know, you know), but it was comforting to know it was optional.
is making over functioning optional for always 'on' entrepreneurs craving structure and faster growth. I knew I wanted to bring that to businesses where the founder was over functioning and that's what birthed this business.
By combining consulting with implementation through the Business Home, I’m able to do this for founders each day– so they can thrive in their fast-paced businesses and also have a little bit more spaciousness in their life.
